OUR STAFF:

Thomas P. Burgess, D.V.M.
is a 1974 graduate of The Ohio State University and 1970 graduate of
West Virginia University. He owned and operated Stonewall Veterinary
Hospital for 26 years in Bridgewater, Virginia, before establishing
Broadway Veterinary Hospital and Horse & Carriage Veterinary
Services. Dr. Burgess is a member of the Blue Ridge Veterinary
Medical Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association,
the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, the American
Animal Hospital Association, and the American Association of Equine
Practitioners.

Sharon E. Harmon, D.V.M. is a native of West Virginia. She is a graduate of West Virginia University and The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is married and has five children, ages twelve to twenty-five. Dr. Harmon enjoys reading, singing, cooking and gardening. She directs both the adult and children's choirs at Broadway Baptist Church and also teaches Sunday Schooll. Her family pets include one tabby cat (Winky), two dogs (Jack, an English Shepherd and Lady, a mixed-breed), two rabbits (Skipper, a Netherland dwarf aand Rocky, a min-lop).

Gloria is a
1976 graduate of James Madison University with a Masters of
Education degree in counseling and a 1973 graduate of Virginia Tech.
Gloria was the practice manager of Stonewall Veterinary Hospital for
26 years, assisted Dr. Burgess in establishing Broadway Veterinary
Hospital and Horse & Carriage Veterinary Services.
Jo Ellen
received an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice in 1977 and an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 2008. She has been competing
her dogs in Dog Agility since 2002.

Tina graduated from Blue Ridge Community College in 1989 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has furthered her education by graduating in 2007 from Jackson Community College with a degree in Ultrasound. Her special interests are ultrasound, cytology and the study of disease. Tina lives with her husband, Chip, and Cocker Spaniel, Tamaha. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time outdoors.

Tiffany
graduated from Massanutten Techincal Center with a certificate in Veterinary Assistance. She is now attending Blue Ridge Community College for a degree in Veterinary Technology and plans to further her education by attending school for Equine Dentistry. She has horses, dogs and cats at home and enjoys horseback riding and being outdoors. |
